Hi there! I focus my practice on helping clients create meaning in their life and learn to acknowledge their past experiences without being consumed by them. I rely and utilize several modalities based on clients’ needs and readiness, but my primary approaches include EMDR, person-centered, CBT, existential, ACT, and mindfulness. Before transitioning to mental health, I was in the field of occupational therapy primarily working in early intervention and with young adults with special needs. I bring my sensory regulation knowledge to my mental health practice because I believe it is important to be able to self-regulate to then go a step further and learn to manage past experiences that are creating challenges for you in the here and now. I appreciate everyone for who they are and where they have been on their journey, so providing a safe space to explore deep feelings of shame, guilt, and hurt are part of my priority to my clients.
