I work with people who feel overwhelmed--by work, big transitions, relationships, family, life. My approach is gentle, non-judgmental, and deep. I enjoy helping clients become more fully aware of themselves and of the patterns that hold them back in life, and working with them to feel more grounded and connected with themselves and with others. Many of my clients are people who are in helping professions or caretaking roles. Many are women or non-binary individuals, and are longing to feel more at home in their own skin and more confident in their own strength, beauty, and wisdom. View 7 Photos I want to support you in being the wonderful human you are in a way that is sustainable and nourishing, and that brings you joy! My work is rooted in the Hakomi Method (a somatic therapy), Expressive arts, and ecotherapy. In therapy, we'll use these as tools to help you feel more embodied, and to empower you to feel greater clarity and freedom in life. The fact that you are here looking for support is both courageous and wise! Life can be challenging, but you don't have to go it alone. If it seems like I might be a good fit for you, I would love to chat with you for a 15-20 minute phone consultation. I provide in-person sessions in Asheville, NC and online sessions throughout North Carolina.

Hi! My name is Rachael. I started my practice last year and I have loved seeing clients via telehealth. I know that starting therapy can feel awkward and that "therapy" can be a dirty word for a lot of people. I have a way of connecting with teens and adults that ease that awkwardness. I'm extremely authentic and use humor in sessions often. I have a Graduate Certificate in Trauma and used a Trauma-Based approach with every one of my clients. I've worked in schools, homeless shelters, DV shelters, summer camps, country clubs, and private practices. My most valuable experience though is my "Lived Experiences". We have all been through something that has affected us and therapists are not immune to that. I have personal experience with how substance abuse can hurt families and how domestic violence can affect a home. Clients in the past have appreciated when I say "I get it", that I really do.
