Please e-mail, to be placed on waitlist. After 15 years working with community-based, non-profit agencies in multiple roles as well as about 20 years working with vulnerable youth, I am happily dedicated to private practice care. My practice is centered around whole-person treatment. Together, we will explore root causes to your symptoms, the narrative of your family system, process old trauma and develop healthy coping skills to manage your symptoms. Trauma, OCD, Generalized Anxiety and Codependency Treatment, are my primary specialties, and I look forward to learning about and helping you identify your unique goals for therapy. I find that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Trauma-Focused CBT as well as Short-term, Solution Focused Therapy, are efficient in the goal-setting process for most clients. I also use Narrative Therapy and Depression Treatment Quality Improvement (DTQI) methods to support reducing Depression. Treatment is not one-size fits all. My approach is to hold empathy, compassion and work from the stance that everyone can grow into the person they want to be. I do my best to be real and infuse humor in my style of therapy. I believe in humility and appropriate self-disclosure, but the focus is always on you! If you would like a free-consult, please e-mail for the fastest response!

Please note, I am only taking patients affected by the current war in Israel. I am doing this as a community service for no-fee. As a PhD Clinical Psychologist for over 25 years, I have worked with a wide range of patients including executives, veterans, students and parents. While everyone is unique, my approach to treatment generally focuses on helping the patient understand the connections between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors so that they ultimately can gain better control over all of them and find the personal meaning in their life. I have several areas of specialization. These include, attention disorders, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Post-covid Syndrome, chronic pain, psychological issues related to medical illnesses and disability, unexplained illness, depression and anxiety. My published research includes work in many of these areas. My training has included both intensive study of neuropsychology/cognitive rehabilitation and psychoanalytic post- doctoral coursework. For 22 years, I was on the full-time faculty of the APA-accredited PhD training program at Fairleigh Dickenson University where I taught courses in psychotherapy & psychopathology & supervised graduate students.

*** CURRENTLY NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS *** Therapy offers the opportunity to make lasting positive changes in life and in relationships. By exploring the role the past has played in current difficulties and dissolving old, destructive patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, life can be more balanced and joyful. I offer warmth, compassion, support, and insight to my clients, with an approach that is direct, non-judgmental, and tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual. Oriented toward building on natural strengths and empowering meaningful changes, our work together can foster an increased ability to more adaptively attend to the ever-changing flow of life. Together, we will work toward identifying destructive behavioral patterns and replace them with empathy for ourselves and those around us. Learning the art of non-judgmental awareness - mindfulness - we will explore these themes, connecting more intimately with the memories, emotions, thoughts, and sensations fundamentally associated with them. By exploring unmet childhood and current attachment needs, we learn to conquer self-defeating habits and discover a new way of approaching our thoughts, emotions, and personal behavior. Empowering ourselves to get our basic needs met in this way, we move toward creating greater balance, harmony, and joy in our lives.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology and graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. View 5 Photos Together with my clients, I help identify personal strengths, increase self-worth, explore family behavioral patterns and roadblocks to developing healthy relationships. Suffering is often a call from the soul, a call for change. It takes courage to answer that call, and sometimes someone to walk along beside you as you journey through the dark and unknown spaces. Our strengths often reside in these spaces, in the parts of ourselves that we’ve rejected and stuffed away. I offer a collaborative and safe environment that honors the wide spectrum of humanness and the intrinsic power and worth of each individual. By listening deeply to the messages of our physical experience, as well as our thought patterns, emotions and spiritual perceptions, greater well-being and health are possible. I specialize in using hypnotherapy to address anxiety, trauma, addiction and chronic pain. I love to show clients how to successfully change difficult patterns of reactivity, anxiety, self-doubt, low self-esteem and the symptoms in the body that so often come with these experiences. I look forward to showing you a way change patterns and to come into alignment with what you truly desire. These changes include resolving physical discomfort, alleviating addictive behaviors, increasing self-esteem, achieving goals, healing trauma and relieving many other ailments of the body, mind and soul.
