If you are struggling with relationships in your life, maybe with your intimate partner/spouse or family members, or perhaps at work, you might feel the need to talk with someone. I am a psychotherapist practicing in Oregon and Washington, and in Europe. I enjoy assisting people in the exploration of new ways to manage challenges that invariably arise in life. If you struggle with anxiety or depression, or if you are experiencing activation related to past traumatic events I can help you learn new ways of relating to yourself and to others. I am well versed in practicing EMDR and supplement this with Emotional Freedom Technique. Both helpful to process emotions. I have experience working with college athletes and am athletically minded. Again with a focus on mind and body and how emotions affect our decisions. I utilize mindfulness practices to develop contentedness in relationships. I have training in helping couples through challenging times and invite people who have entered into bi-cultural unions. I am fluent in English and Danish. I draw from Drs Gottman, Dr. Sue Johnson, Terry Real, LCSW and Esther Perel, LMFT in supporting your wish for improved connection and communication with your partner.

What meaning are you making about your struggles? It seems that we are meaning-making creatures constantly trying to make sense of our experiences and what happens to us through a complex multilayered personalized lens of meaning-making. A lens affected by cultural, societal, religious & spiritual beliefs–to name a few–and it serves as our internal GPS navigating us, as best as we can, through our life’s many challenges. Our unique individual approach to meaning-making also becomes the breeding ground of the stories we create and articulate about our life. However, sometimes the Stories We Create Cause More Pain Than The Experience. View 8 Photos Together, we will explore & dismantle the stories & patterns of relating that no longer support you. I will help you to increase your awareness of what choices are available so you can move past your limitations and reconnect with your Authentic Self. You hold the answers as the expert on you & I believe that we all can use some help finding them at times. Besides my background in psychology & philosophy I've been a recording artist for two decades and worked with many creatives. My practice is rooted in a non-judgment curiosity-driven approach incorporating compassion, spirituality, mindfulness, existentialism, and humor. I offer support via video and in-person hikes.
