We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team.

As a Software Engineer at Belongly, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our software applications. You will work closely with a talented team of engineers, collaborating on our critical systems’ design, development, and implementation.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have a strong sense of ownership and urgency in delivering high-quality software solutions and can work autonomously.
  • Have experience as a lead or have been a strong contributor on a team
  • Are excellent communicators able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Apply strong problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve software issues efficiently.
  • Drive and implement test automation strategies to ensure high-quality software products.
  • Decompose complex tasks and provide accurate estimations to ensure the timely delivery of software projects.
  • Consistently optimize performance through profiling, tuning, and code optimization techniques.
  • Design scalable and robust systems that meet the requirements of our growing user base.
  • Have a solid understanding of system design principles and architectural patterns.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

Qualifications

Must have skills:

  • React, React Native, Typescript, and Next.js
  • GraphQL
  • Python and Flask
  • SQL

Special consideration will be given to applicants skilled in the following:

  • Infrastructure as code tools in AWS, such as Terraform or Cloudformation
  • Postgres
  • Authentication Strategies and security
  • HIPAA compliance
  • Docker and docker-compose

Nice to have skills:

  • Cloudflare
  • Apollo GraphQL client
  • Test automation tools such as Jest and Cypress
  • Algolia
