Query: I’m working on a story about the ethics behind using AI for emotional support (in response to mental health chatbots and wearable devices that monitor a user’s emotional states and utilize personalized coaching to help improve mental well-being). Could this kind of tech ever be less biased than a human (even though it’s programmed by humans), could it make treatment more consistent, or make real mental health care more accessible to those who can’t afford in-person therapy? I’m looking for psychologists who can share their perspectives on taking a human therapist out of the equation, as well as someone working in the AI/tech space to hear how these chatbots work and their abilities and limitations.

Requirements: Psychologists, AI researchers/developers
