Recent Updates From Sarah Brekke-Velázquez
Last updated | Monday March 24, 2025

I believe in healing ourselves and each other as the first step toward healing our planet. My intention as a therapist is to guide people toward empowerment and healing in order to live their fullest and most joyful lives possible. I believe that we all have this capacity within us, and therapy can help us to move through our past trauma, oppressive social conditioning, anxieties and other stresses to be our best selves.
I specialize in working with people impacted by trauma and family stress and have done extensive work with youth and families. I believe in tailoring interventions to meet each person's specific needs and goals. My work is grounded in mindfulness and somatic awareness, with an emphasis on creating a safe and accepting therapeutic relationship.
For those interested, I have specific experience and interest in exploring and guiding self-reflection and healing around personal and collective roles in oppressive systems, especially for those who have benefited from these systems.
